slide(4) needs testing on a machine with a PCI_PRODUCT_WINBOND_W83C553F_0. sl82c105_chip_map overwrites the attach args of the IDE controller with attach args of the PCI_PRODUCT_WINBOND_W83C553F_0, I can't imagine this is intentional. However it might not cause obvious problems.IIRC: Symphony Labs was absorbed into Winbond, and the 82C105 more or less became the 83C553.AFAIK there must be some prep boards which came with a 83C553 IDE controller. Also the sandpoint evaluation board X2/X3 got one.
slide(4) has PCI ID 10ad.0105. Here is the DINK32 output from Moto Sandpoint eval which equips WD83C533; DINK32[MPC8245] {7} >>ppr ==== ============== ========= ========== =========== ============= UNIT PRT.BUS.DEV.FN VEND/DEV# CLASS IDSEL/CFGA BAR0 ADDRESS ==== ============== ========= ========== =========== ============= 0 0. 0. 0. 0 1057.0006 PCIBridge 0:80000000 MEM: 00000000 11 0. 0. 11. 0 10AD.0565 PCIBridge 11:80005800 MEM: 00000000 0. 0. 11. 1 10AD.0105 Disk IO 11:80005900 IO: 00001000 15 0. 0. 15. 0 8086.1229 Network 15:80007800 MEM: 80001000 ==== ============== ========= ========== =========== ============= 4 PCI devices found.
