Thank you for your explanation on early console of macppc. Now, I
almost believe that the patch should resolve the problem. I will
commit it if it actually works for you.

I saw your commit, updated, and it works again!

Thank you for confirmation. I was very relieved to hear that!

Also, thank you for your advices. It helps me a lot. Although the
original owner says it has 1GB memory, I'd like to replace its
HDD with SSD by using, probably, an mSATA-IDE converter; after
crashing several cards, I don't trust CF or SD card so much ;-).

I just boot mine from the original harddisks and use USB disks for
extra storage. No idea how small those converters are, there is not
much room in the case.
If your Mini comes with the bluetooth option you can setup input
devices in OSX and they should work in both OpenFirmware and NetBSD -
by default the bluetooth controller pretends to be an uhid ( and our
drivers do not kow how to change that ). I did that with mine to save
USB ports...

Thank you for your comment. Some mSATA-IDE converters are fit to
2.5" IDE HDD. I didn't know bluetooth is usable in OpenFirmware!
I will try if my mini has adapter.

Thanks,
rin
