Re: Hunting the ahc boot-time panic

Found it!

The commit logged here:

  http://mail-index.netbsd.org/source-changes/2011/05/10/msg021816.html

causes a kernel built with sources from 201105101832Z or later to
panic when booting on a machine with an Adaptec SCSI card ("ahc").
A kernel built with sources from 2011051831Z or earlier boots without
problems on an "ahc"-equipped machine.

Curious thing: Although the netbsd-GENERIC.gz file is slightly smaller
for the later sources, the uncompressed kernels are *exactly* the same
size.

Looks like the changes involve moving PCI IO/MEM enabling from the
PCI bus driver to the leaf drivers. Maybe "ahc" needs some attention?
