enabling options DISKLABEL_EI in GENERIC?

Hi,

NetBSD/amd64 GENERIC has options DISKLABEL_EI so we can
modify labels and mount disk images for big endian ports
like NetBSD/hp300 (and other BE ports that require non-zero spaces
before starting partition a:) via vnd(4) on NetBSD/amd64.

On the other hand, the options DISKLABEL_EI in NetBSD/i386 GENERIC
is commented out:

I'd like to enable the options DISKLABEL_EI in GENERIC by default,
but is there any reason why it has been commented out?
