I thought NetBSD was about choosing the right platform for the job,
not arbitrary adoption of some new technology because someone else
says it's a good idea. That's one of the good things about supporting
so many hardware platforms.

That said, I think there are things that could be done to make the
transition from i386 to amd64 easier. But I haven't tried to do this
for years now. I should try again when the time is right. i386 works
fine for me for now :)
