Hi.
I just installed netbsd 4. on my laptop, and I have two options :
1. I use generic kernel but it hangs after the boot process at the point "kernelized raidframe activated"
2. I use noacpi kernel but my sound card hangs with the message :

It seems that's it's an old bug. Any idea on how to have my audio card work ?

The first thing I would try is the GENERIC_LAPTOP kernel (even if you're not installing on a laptop). If that fails, does a -current kernel work? You can get a -current kernel here:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/200801090002Z/i386/binary/kernel/
