So my first FX4 was DOA. Well, "maimed" at least (Garbled video) :( (Such is the life when buying from eBay...). I just got a new FX4 though and it works !
However X still dies with the same error. So disclaimer - I typically run very vanilla systems (i.e. an actual point release, installed from ISO for example). You said X works in -current, so I did a network install from:
https://nycdn.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-10/
I think I have 20250531 installed. Is this not -current ? I figured if you had added it in the last year something this new should have it included.
Could it be something specific to the C3700 system and FX4 interaction ?

Let me know what other logs you would like to see and anything else I can correct or try.
As always - thanks in advance.
