X11 on c3700

Hello all,

If you couldn’t tell - I’m brand new to the hppa port.  So please forgive some of my questions and lack of understanding…

I noticed that when telling sysinst that I want a “Full installation” - it installs x____.tgz, but does not install xserver.tgz.  xserver.tgz is on the CD / ftp/ etc. sites. however.

Is this something specific to hppa ?  Something specific to my machine ?

My GPU is:

[     1.000000] sti0: A1262A, 1280x1024 frame buffer, 1280x1024x32 display

I believe this is known as the Visualize Fx5 Pro ?

Would I have any better luck with downgrading to the HP A4982A Visualize FXE ?

Also based on the name (sti) - is this truly text only ?  The man page mentions lots of resolutions and color depths for various framebuffers.  This makes me think X11 is a thing ?
