For starters you could also try and put a fixed IP address there.


Where would the ".0" go in that line ?  after -mapall=501 ?

I've tried a fixed IP with the same results.

For another test I fired up my SGI Fuel running IRIX 6.5.29 and told it to mount the same filesystem and it had no problems at all, mounted straight up and I could copy files to and from it.

So it must be an OSX vs NetBSD issue! Surely someone else around has OSX clients and NetBSD servers using NFS ? :-(

At this rate I'll have to resort to Samba or Netatalk!
