Have you tried 8.0? Recently I tried 8.99 on RPI2 and wasn't able to build
some packages, hence reverted to 8. Now want to buy RPI3B+ for use with
NetBSD8. So just wanted to know.

Even 32bit is ok for my purpose.

I'm running 32 bit NetBSD 8 on a latest model gigabit RPi:

Neither etherner nor wireless are supported yet.
