Using NetBSD-7 on a RPiB+
I am in the process of trying to setup a RPiB+ to be the NTP server on
my LAN. I have a DS3231 unit plugged into the GPIO port, seems to be
working OK. I have been setting up aliases & trying to configure ntpd. I
notice that when editing a file w/ vi, any attempt to grow the file at
the end causes vi & my ssh login to crash. Inserting text into the
middle of a file works OK. Also trying to page past the end of the file
(ctrl-f) causes the same thing. Uname gives:
rpi # uname -a
NetBSD rpi 7.0_BETA NetBSD 7.0_BETA (RPI.201503272230Z) evbarm
rpi #
As my 1st (probably of many) pilot error, I was trying to add some stuff
to the /etc/ntp.conf file using cat. Unfortunately I used '>' instead of
'>>' & wiped out the rest of the default file :-/ .... Would anyone have
a pointer/URL to the original, unmodified ntp.conf file for this
configuration so I can begin anew configuring ntp :-) ? TIA & have a
nice day.
