Can you folks test the netbsd-8.1 kernel
and netbsd-7ish kernels
I tried booting netbsd-AMIGA-8.1 kernel and mounting the NetBSD 9.0
root file system.
* Confirmed that dmesg reports NetBSD 8.1.
* Confirmed that 3C589 is reported by dmesg similar to the 9.0 patch.
* Confirmed that 3C589 can be configured with ifconfig.
* Confirmed that the Amiga NetBSD system can ping another host on the
local network.
* Confirmed that the the other host can ping the Amiga NetBSD system.
$ dmesg
pccard0 at mainbus0
pcmcia0 at pccard0
ep0 at pcmcia0 function 0: <3Com Corporation, 3C589D, TP/BNC LAN Card
Ver. 2a, 000002>
ep0: address 00:60:08:22:32:e4, 8KB byte-wide FIFO, 5:3 Rx:Tx split
ep0: 10baseT, 10base5, 10base2 (default 10baseT)
$ ifconfig ep0 192.168.1.4
$ ping 192.168.1.1
[...]
With netbsd-AMIGA-7.1.x it was not possible to mount the NetBSD 9.0 root
file system. However,
* Confirmed that the kernel reports
NetBSD 7.1.2_PATH (AMIGA) #0: Sat Mar 7 09:50:03 CET 2020
* Confirmed that 3C589 is reported by kernel similar to the 9.0 (and
8.1) patch.
Thanks,
Martin
