and then e-mail the file dmesg.out to this list.

Yes, a couple of files have to be modified in /sys/dev/pcmcia

AmigaDOS FFS file systems can be mounted only in read-only mode.
You may have to specify that in the mount options like in for example:

# mount -o ro -t ados /dev/wd0g /mnt
