Yes it does. Thanks.
But then the backspace key, which worked properly before, prints a ^?.

Is it not possible to assign the AmigaOS properties to the backspace
and delete key?

backspace: delete char left of cursor
delete   : delete char at cursor and sroll chars right of cursor 1
           position left
