Anyone compiled Xaw3d under X11R6.1?

Has anyone managed to compile Xaw3d under X11R6.1 and get it working?  I
grabbed the sources to release 1.3 (for X11R6.1) yesterday and got it
compiled fine but it core dumps with a segmentation fault when I try to
run a program linked with the library...

I also compiled LessTif (-current version) and although I haven't put it
thru its paces yet, seems to run mwm and chpower (Chinese word processor)
fine though.
