Hm, just the usual options code, e.g. audio/esound/options.mk.

Currently not. See pkgtools/pkglint/files/pkglint.pl (look
for 'sections") for a list of variables for the first four
sections.

It would be more transparent, but it would also mean touching
5000 PLIST files, and the developer who committed the PKGMANDIR
support chose not to do this, and I think it was a good decision.

Exactly. We do not split up the documentation per format any longer,
because usually you don't care in which format it is, and this way
you only have to look in one directory for it (share/doc/${PKGBASE})
instead of two or more.

siproxd compiles, installs, and deinstalls cleanly for me.
