There is a comment in the Makefile about readline.
I'm not sure how to test for that either, except by checking the
OPSYS variable.

You can remove the plplot option, I removed the package
back in April.

The PLIST handling is wrong. By default it builds with the gnuplot
option enabled and the files in PLIST are missing from the package's
list of files. If I add PLIST_SRC+=PLIST near the end of the file,
it complains about not finding share/rlab-2.1.05/rlib/plot.r during
installation.
