The package includes an app-defaults file:

/usr/pkg/lib/X11/app-defaults/Pixmap

But the native X toolkit looks for it at /usr/X11R7/lib/X11/app-defaults/.

You can

- copy the file to the native directory.
- set XAPPLRESDIR to /usr/pkg/lib/X11/app-defaults
- set your own XAPPLRESDIR (e.g. $HOME/.app-defaults) and copy the file there.

You can also play with XFILESEARCHPATH, e.g.:
