You didn't mention what OS you're using (I infer NetBSD), or what
release, what compiler is getting employed here, etc.? In the past,
this sort of issue has shown up on older NetBSD releases that end
up pulling in a pkgsrc version of GCC to meet requirements to build
certain packages. You can see an example of a hack to work around
this in audio/openal-soft/hacks.mk.
