I build the firefox 112 using -march core2 for amd64 and this does not happen

may be your machine is low on resources.. what does the command ulimit -a show?

mine shows:

this is configured in /etc/login.conf

However whoever want to give a try,

export PKG_PATH=http://netbsd.k1.com.br/NetBSD-x86_64-10.99.3/packages

and can install firefox12 from them...

pkg_add -Uv firefox

or the full mate-desktop with

pkg_add -Uv mate
