Nope, not on NetBSD, nor on Darwin where it builds fine. Are you looking at https://www.stata.com/support/faqs/unix/error-converting-format-to-locale-encoding/?
Do you have a charset.alias file? If so, where did it come from? There are some packages that install one, but they don't seem relevant:
/home/bacon/Pkgsrc/pkgsrc/cross/arm-none-eabi-gdb/PLIST:${PLIST.charsetalias}cross-arm-none-eabi/lib/charset.alias /home/bacon/Pkgsrc/pkgsrc/lang/guile20/PLIST:guile/2.0/lib/charset.alias /home/bacon/Pkgsrc/pkgsrc/lang/guile22/PLIST:${PLIST.charset}guile/2.2/lib/charset.alias /home/bacon/Pkgsrc/pkgsrc/mail/dovecot2/PLIST:lib/dovecot/lib20_charset_alias_plugin.la /home/bacon/Pkgsrc/pkgsrc/sysutils/amanda-common/PLIST:lib/charset.alias /home/bacon/Pkgsrc/pkgsrc/www/elinks/PLIST:share/elinks/locale/charset.alias Best, J
