It just happens so that for several months I was occupied and did not
change anything on the system. Some recent attention to the system and
a requirement triggered a build and the long backlog meant some such
issues were to be expected.

To summarize:

Root cause of a number of issues was having to switch to pkg x11 libs as
some packages moved on with their requirements not being met by the base
x11 any more. So far 3 packages needed PREFER_PKGSRC setting.

Similarly vdpau requirement of ffmpeg4 was met by installing vdpau from
pkg - no other setting (such as PREFER) was needed.

Cause of PLIST error in gnome-icon-theme is still unclear. But it wasn't a
show stopper. Some other users reported that they didn't face it. Unsure
whether PLIST had any recent change just after I did a git pull (also
considering latency between CVS and git.)

An aside that came from above issue: whether print-PLIST should exclude
empty directories - I am not sure. If some upstream leaves some
directories empty (and that's not necessarily nice), we should either let
them be or exclude them. We need not be manually deleting them from PLIST
i.e. PLIST and print-PLIST should be preferably in sync IMHO.

hb-ft.h in harfbuzz PLIST seems to be subject to 'doc' option. It may
possibly be fixed.

cppunit was something I learned about today. It solved the build problem
with libreoffice.

mutt slowness issues continues to baffle me, but a few users have reported
that they didn't face it.

Finally, some of the `big' packages like firefox and libreoffice were
built successfully and are functioning well so far. Barring mutt slowness
issue I think everything is resolved.

Thanks all for your patient help as always!
