The way I am using dry-run is that it does actually download, just no 
package deinstalls and installs. Maybe I could do something like -dd and 
if one then download still, if more then don't download.

Also pkgin, as far as I see, doesn't have any problem with messing up an 
upgrade, as it won't attempt to deinstall anything if it doesn't have the 
needed replacement packages downloaded first.
