I find that even with 1000+ TexLive-related packages installed via ``meta-pkgs/texlive-collection-all'', there's still generally enough missing that using LaTeX via pkgsrc is a show-stopper for many use-cases.

So, I guess I'm filing this as a "meta" PR to be closed when pkgsrc's LaTeX/TeX Live-related packages are much more rounded-out.

To get a rough idea of what might be missing (assuming you've cloned pkgsrc via the CVS-git mirror), try running:
$ git grep '# depend' -- meta-pkgs/ | grep 'tex'

According to the above, it seems that exactly 2000 Tex Live packages are missing. A list I've generated grepping for '# depend' in the TexLive Makefiles can be found here (since I don't want to bloat this PR):
