 FWIW, this works when called as:
 $ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/pkg/lib/python2.7/site-packages/libxml2mod.so
 python2.7 -c 'import libxsltmod'
 
 But gave up on figuring out how to make it do the right thing for now, sorry.
