 The cause of this issue is that /usr/pkg/libexec/cups/backend/cups-pdf
 needs 700 permission in order to work.
 
 # ls -l /usr/pkg/libexec/cups/backend/cups-pdf
 -rwx------  1 root  wheel  24408 Jul  9 07:03
 /usr/pkg/libexec/cups/backend/cups-pdf
 
 It is installed with 755 by default. That could be changed in the
 package (if not in the application, I have no time to look into why it
 behaves like this).
