 The macppc release was built in a completely empty (nonexistent) OBJDIR
 and DESTDIR while the i386 and amd64 builds were update builds on OBJDIR
 and DESTDIR already populated.  Did something else change recently (after
 PAX ASLR/MPROTECT stuff) that requires rebuilding from scratch and makes
 update builds faulty?
