 wiz@'s latest commit fixes one of the problems -- the right audacity binar=
 y
 is installed now, but it's missing shlibs:
 
 % audacity
 Shared object "libFileDialog.so.0" not found
 
 going on this comment in lib-src/Makefile.am, these libraries should be
 built as pure convenience libraries and statically linked into the binary:
 
 	# Overwrite install* targets from automake. We do not want to install any=
 thing
 	# from the lib-src libraries, because we statically link these libraries.
 	install:
 	install-dvi:
 	[ ... ]
 
 i have no idea what is happening here.
