 I think the only difference here that interests anyone is that you can
 easily override the ABI depends (USE_ABI_DEPENDS).
 
 Use case: you need a newer version of dovecot-foo-plugin but don't
 want to update dovecot. You update pkgsrc and build the plugin with
 "USE_ABI_DEPENDS=no".
