 Downloaded the release from my remote build host.  Fontconfig now shows
 version 2.10.93 on macppc-current.  Pango is happy now and sees both
 FONTCONFIG and FREETYPE (ultimately selecting the cairo freetype backend).
 
 Not sure what's got my local build machine confused.  It's chewing on a
 release build now (sources of around 201310171100Z) and seems intent on
 rebuilding all the things even though it is an update build.  I'll see
 what the result is when it finishes (and start over with a clean build
 if it's still confused).
