This issue is probably happened with any packages contains rc.d scripts. You should set/change RCD_SCRIPTS_DIR setting to appropriate location.
AFAIKT this has happened before, but not for every package that contains rc scripts. And since when is pkgsrc (in unprivileged mode, anyway) allowed to write to this location? Isn't this what share/examples/rc.d is for?
