Between 2008Q2 and 2008Q3 (or between 5.812 and 5.814 of the underlying Perl 
module) a change was introduced, so that the symlinks GET, HEAD and POST to 
lwp-request are not created any more - although option "libwww-aliases" is 
still on by default.
