Is it documented where what type of failures cause the entire bulk build
 to stop?

Since a bulk build should be consider an unattended and very time
consuming task, it is understandable that an a entire failure would be
quite frustrating and disappointing (especially since not everyone can
stand by and babysit a bulk build and may not be able to check it for a
 day or so).

Nevertheless, I can understand how some individual failures may have
 larger repercussions.
