"portmapper" is just the traditional name for rpcbind(8)

All of that work was commited to the VirtualBox repository (where it
belongs) ages ago.

But there is no pkgsrc package that builds it.

Using the the reboot from multiuser _is_ not safe (in general).
reboot(8) manual explicitly says that in CAVEATS.  It's been like that
for decades and it's common knowledge, really.
