On the other hand, I have tested removing hardware acceleration and
worked fine but of course it is not as smooth and videos are also not as
smooth.
I can survive this way, no problem, I imagine that i915 driver internals
are a nightmare to debug and fix ;-)

Alternatively, look for the "Lightning bolt" icon in the bottom right of
Maps and switch to 2D mode.
