Since performing

   dir=<path to sets>
   postinstall -s $dir/etc.tar.xz -s $dir/xetc.tar.xz fix

the `master' output doesn't change unexpectedly.  It may or may not be
causal.

I had updated the kernel and modules, sets to include changes for nodejs and
Chromium to build but didn't do `postinstall' or etcupdate.
