This works here (as far as lfs works), but the error message is
rare. One possibility is that the SCSI driver reports an offline
unit. Can you tell what the iSCSI server is ?

The address parser looks broken. For some reason the first character is skipped when it tries to identify IPv6, I was successful with

iscsictl add_send_target -a 'x[ipv6-address]'
