Re: amdgpu kernel module

Hello Maya,

Will these modules be ready in the next netbsd 10 release? Will the amdgpu be usable when we upgrade to netbsd 10?

Riza

This requires the latest current

Build source with /etc/mk.conf containing:
MKAMDGPUFIRMWARE=yes

Adding the line:
SUBDIR+= amdgpu

to sys/modules/Makefile

Unpack gpu firmware and modules in / (or all sets)

and then edit the first entry in /boot.cfg:
Change:
-boot netbsd
+load amdgpu; boot netbsd

No need to make any changes to the kernel.
