Re: Constant coredumps

Hello Todd,

I have had the same issue with compressi g core dumps at startup. The problem was that when i started the x server it was freezing, and the next time i booted up the system it was compressing the core. It turned out that it was one of my usb devices. I have a usb hub that is causing that problem. I found that out with the crash tool in netbsd.

I now am not switching the mouse on until i get into X. That resolved the issue.

Maybe inspecting the core dump file with crash can help pinpoint the issue.

Regards,
Riza

Why is this happening? Has anyone noticed this?
