I now have a NUC that boots from a USB stick into into -current 
9.99.88!

...suggested I use my bootable NetBSD CD to install a full 
system on the USB stick. Little could I then imagine that some 
weeks later that is the suggestion that launched my latest 
NetBSD install.

I am taking a lot of time getting /etc/mk.conf fit and proper 
for pkgsrc installs, something I have in the past always 
neglected until trouble emerges.
