Here's a concrete example: lintpkgsrc is not in good shape.

cleaning up obsolete distfiles and packages is standard stuff and fundamental package tools are apparently not maintained according to follow-ups in the threads. I'd classify that as "awful".

I know.  I know.  Why don't I just fix it myself....
