I need it to use it to queue mails on a desktop machine and relay to gmail
smtp.

Queuing and reliable delivery and bouncing mail back etc. is important
since sometimes , for large mails, gmail smtp interaction fails. I was
using msmtp till now where I had this problem of loosing mails.

Is any of the alternatives good for above needs?

Mayuresh.
