Yes -- anything more than 1500.

I was doing that. I actually disabled all of the hardware checksum
stuff and set the MTU back to 1500 last night.

Hopefully that might fix it then :)

If it does, it's a little more evidence that there's a bug lurking
there, but if so it's curious, since I'd bet that there are other
people using jumbo frames with NetBSD 4.0.  (Probably. Anyone? :-)

Right, well, it certainly seems to be related to the MTU. I've not seen it crash since I changed this back to 1500.

So at the moment I can at least confirm that this mysterious panic has disappeared after reducing the MTU back to 1500 (well, actually, deleting the rc.conf ifconfig mtu setting so it defaults to 1500).
