On my system (NetBSD kamloops 5.99.39 NetBSD 5.99.39 (kamloops) #205: Thu Aug
26 19:35:29 PDT 2010 root@kamloops:/usr/obj/sys/arch/amd64/compile/kamloops
amd64), I've got:
kamloops# ls -ld /dev/hdau*
crw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 195, 0 Apr 20 19:57 /dev/hdaudio0
crw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 195, 1 Apr 20 19:57 /dev/hdaudio1
crw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 195, 2 Apr 20 19:57 /dev/hdaudio2
crw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 195, 3 Apr 20 19:57 /dev/hdaudio3
....but I just deleted them, and playing (via xmms) seems to work,
but hdaudioctl now does not...
I'll test on next reboot if my audio needs to have it's seemingly typical
"hdaudioctl set 0x00 0x01" to get audible output.
