i386
Description:
I am a new guy from China, I have installed NetBSD4.0.1, i386 on my laptop,
everything seems fine except the ethernet card.

It is an Intel Pro/100 VE Network Connection and cannot be detected by GENERIC
kernel. I have added FXP setting by guide at
http://www.netbsd.org/support/hardware/pci.html and rebuild new kernel but
nothing changed, the new kernel still cannot detect my card.

Here is the info generated by GENERIC kernel,

Hi Joey --

The device isn't even showing up as 'not configured', which could mean one of a few things:

  1. Your motherboard may need the following additional options:
options PCI_ADDR_FIXUP # fixup PCI I/O addresses
options PCI_BUS_FIXUP # fixup PCI bus numbering
  2. This may be a bug in 4.0.1 that has been fixed in 5.0_BETA.
  3. If the card is built-in, it may be disabled in the BIOS.
  4. The card is installed incorrectly or faulty.

Hope this helps,
Jared
