I didn't notice a difference. When I run consdev, the screen clears
and I get a new prompt, but still on the screen. (Tried with and without
the 0x, and tried 2f8)

I noticed that when pressing the power switch, the computer powered down
immediately, so there is probably more to it than a happy computer with
no screen display.
