Good idea, but I've tried re-CVS updating to no avail. The contents of
the Makefile appears correct (it matches
http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/src/distrib/amd64/kmod/Makefile?rev=1.1&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup&only_with_tag=MAIN
...aka the 2011/01/18 version):

intrepid{~}% cksum /nbu/source/netbsd/src/distrib/amd64/kmod/Makefile
1414314675 799 /nbu/source/netbsd/src/distrib/amd64/kmod/Makefile
intrepid{~}% rm /nbu/source/netbsd/src/distrib/amd64/kmod/Makefile
{CVS update}
intrepid{~}% cksum /nbu/source/netbsd/src/distrib/amd64/kmod/Makefile
1414314675 799 /nbu/source/netbsd/src/distrib/amd64/kmod/Makefi

Thinking about it, I do have MKKMOD=no in my /etc/mk.conf (until there's a
safe way to update modular kernels, I just can't do it), which may be the
issue. Will try a build w/o that and see if it changes anything...
