I'm on Rust-1.71 myself. The major breaks should happen early next year when things start migrating to 'edition = 2024'.

Same as it was a few years ago with 'edition = 2021', requiring Rust > 1.56

So, if I were you, I'd use the most up-to-date Rust I could get my hands on.

Good with the firefox fix for screen capture.
