Hi,

while this proposal sounds useful on the surface of it, do you
know whether it will have any impact on the problem described in
PR#39564, and if so, why?  Maybe I'm slow and need to be spoon-
fed...

A non-developer colleague of mine muttered something about making
big changes in this area without an analysis and explanation of
the fenomenon described in that PR.
