We found it cheaper just to get a lerger CF card.  This way, we can
put a standard NetBSD distribution on the CF (no need to strip it down
every time we update the system).  Of course, if you're making 1000
similar boxes, you may be able to afford more work to save a few cents
on the CF cards.
